Seventeen years later, Jane and her sister Elle are stuck in a lift with a man who turns out to be Alexandra's husband, Tom. He is broken-hearted because months earlier Alexandra disappeared into thin air. By the time they are released Jane, Elle and a third woman in the lift, Leslie, have promised to help find Alexandra. Little do they know that in searching for Alexandra they are about to confront themselves.
