It is exceptional to contemplate Tàpies' work integrated into the Zabalaga farmhouse (Chillida Leku Museum, in the north of Spain). This book places on record the first exhibition of an artist invited to the Zabalaga farmhouse in Hernani, as, until now, the work by an artist other than Eduardo Chillda has never been exhibited before in this space. This exhibition pays tribute to Antoni Tàpies through a selection of works that show his constant exploration of the expressive qualities of materials. The personal and artistic careers of both artists have many similarities, which is why Chillida-Tàpies dialogue in this unique space surrounded by nature, creates harmonious and balanced images, where white, black and earth tones take centre stage.
