Les meilleurs albums, romans, documentaires, BD à offrir aux petits et aux plus grands
Watercare engineer Ian Winson was seriously injured in a gas main explosion in Onehunga in 2011, an incident that was a significant news event at the time. The explosion killed his colleague Philomen Gulland, cost Ian his legs, caused severe injuries to his arms, and left him close to death. His life had revolved around work, sport and family. In one day he went from being an Ironman competitor and organiser of an iconic Auckland running event in the Waitakere Ranges, to an amputee requiring much medical intervention and months of rehabilitation just to reach a stage of basic mobility. His story is one of bravery, incredible determination, redefining oneself, a family's love, and an unerring hope.
