This richly illustrated volume is the result of the 6th conference of the international research group "Textiles from the Nile Valley" held in Katoen Natie, Antwerp, 2-3 October 2009. It is the first comprehensive study about dress accessories of postpharaonic Egypt represented by 16 papers of scholars specialized in ancient textiles. Moreover, the volume contains two papers dedicated to the famous mummy of the Lady Euphemia from Antinoupolis (Middle Egypt), now in the possession of the Royal Museums for Art and History in Brussels, and three further contributions dealing with the technique and dyestuffs of a special group of linen fabrics in compound weave.
