Angry Baby Katie Woods has been a chronicler of the country's economic crisis since (literally) the day she was born. Her hugely successful blog and Twitter feed @angrybaby12 (there are eleven other angry tweeting babies out there) has widened the debate and given a voice to Ireland's discontented 'pre-verbal' army of toddlers. Translated from incoherent baby talk by her close friend/carer/baby whisperer Siobhan Devlin, Angry Baby documents Katie's remarkable story in diary form. Amidst the chaos of Ireland's financial collapse, she tells of her attempt to form a special Emergency Baby Government with her toys Dilly, White Teddy and Dog Bab, and, for the first time, speaks openly about her special (if largely imaginary) close friendship with her mentor Fintan O'Toole, whose cuddly-bear-like qualities are only part of what makes him outstanding. Above all, Katie's message is a rallying cry for tomorrow's generation, and a warning to today's politicians: 'We (the generation of tomorrow) are not going to take it lying down.
