This model has its roots in disruptive industrial innovation, geared toward usage-; the ways in which people use products and services-;and the mass market. For the first time, people are becoming "conscious consumers' whose choices enable them to decide their own destiny and that of their economy. André-Jacques Auberton-Hervé sheds light on the conditions that will enable Europe to (re)gain its status as a winning economic model with world-class industry champions. What it needs above all else is audacity! The giants-;the United States and China-;support their industry champions and strive to make their products and services the standards of tomorrow.
